Summary
Don’t step into a fairy ring; Never speak Their names aloud; If you encounter one, be polite - but do not take anything they offer you. Laurent knows the old rules for surviving life adjacent to the Faerie realm. And the one new rule: do not go to Marlas, where a fae warrior awaits who, if you cannot defeat him in single combat, will steal a tribute from you as payment for trespassing - a ring, a cloak, or a tumble in the grass. But six years after his brother disappeared there, Laurent has no choice but to go again and again to seek the truth of what happened to him and find a way to bring him home. It is an adventure that will take him into the Faerie realm itself - but when he learns that the guardian he’s been visiting is actually a mortal prince held captive by the fae, it will take all his cleverness (and the help of both men) to rescue both his brother and the man he loves

Life after Marlas has left Laurent reclusive, his father slain at his uncles hands and his uncle slain by the court, not even Auguste had made it out victorious. The image of him kneeling at the feet of Damianos, the young victor was burned into Laurent’s mind. But there's something else eating at the Frigid Prince of Vere, even more than the distance and unfamiliarity of his brother--in a world where everyone is born with a mark to match their soulmate, Laurent seems the only exception. With love far from the horizon, a brother stolen away from him by kingly duties, and a resentment-racked diplomatic visit from Akielos, Laurent believes his world cannot get any worse. He isn’t used to being proven wrong, but his crumbling world crashes down when the true plot behind the Akielon visit is revealed. Quickly it becomes a race between fate, Laurent, and the one who beat Auguste in battle all those years ago.

Summary
The two biggest (and baddest) gangs, Akielos and Vere, have kept an uneasy peace for 6 years, after a violent turf war. When Auguste, the Veretian head was killed among the fighting, an agreement came out of it. Akielos would run the bottom half of the city, and Vere the top half. Right when Laurent is set to take over he is forced to run for his life. He ends up in Akielos territory where he plans to infiltrate the group, and convince the leader to help them (even if that means working in his nightclub as a skimpily dressed waiter).

Summary
They were married on the battlefield.
After each of the Crown Princes of Akielos and Vere had fallen once, and each had allowed the other to arise, Auguste of Vere hesitated before resuming his attack, and said, “There is another way.” He spoke Akielon, so he clearly wanted to be understood by his enemy; his accent was heavy.

Summary
Laurent is a solitary witch and a prince whose right to the throne was erased when he was cast away by his power-hungry uncle who was afraid of his power. Living on the edge of the city, he begrudgingly makes simples and spells by day for the townspeople who come to him in order to get by, while at night he toils to no avail trying to find a spell, a curse, anything that will return to him the one thing he wants: his brother. One day, Damen turns up at his door guided by a compulsion spell placed on him by an unknown witch or warlock. Unable to accomplish any progress toward resurrecting his dead brother while Damen is present and fawning over him, Laurent proceeds to try and break the spell, making Damen various potions, casting counter curses, and even getting Damen to take part in some strange activities. As with all good fairytales, the spell is only broken with true loves kiss, but what Laurent fails to consider is that Damen might have feelings for him even when he’s not under the spells power, and that maybe his brother isn’t the one thing he wants after all.

Summary
Beautiful but cold, Prince Laurent of Arles has vowed to marry only the one to best him in a footrace. The winner will get his hand in marriage - and the power and influence that come with it - but the price of failure is death.
The latest in a long string of suitors to attempt Laurent’s challenge and lose is Prince Kastor of Ios. Damen, desperate to save his brother’s life, travels to Arles himself to participate in the race. Once there, however, he quickly realizes that Laurent desires to marry him about as much as he desires to marry Laurent - that is to say, not at all.
Rather than risk being trapped in a marriage that would make them both miserable, they agree to a different wager: if Damen wins the race, Laurent will let Kastor go, but if he loses, Damen will have to stay in Arles for a year, doing Laurent’s bidding. -

Summary
Damianos, Captain of The Egeria and the Ellosean Sea.
Damen was a steadfast pirate with as much heart as devotion, as dedicated to his cause as he was to the sea. He was stronger than most, more loyal than any, and each new voyage filled him with something inimitable that no one else could understand, aside for perhaps his crew.
Every expedition was different, varying in length and difficulty, never to be predetermined. At the end of each there was time to recuperate, a chance for everyone to spend it as they saw fit before returning to reality. For Damen there was his private area on the rocks by the water where he found quiet, serenity, and a way to always be close to the ocean.
Until one night, he found something else, something new. An unearthly creature unlike any other, with a beauty that rivaled anything he had ever seen.
It would appear that mermaids were more than just a myth. -
