For a second, Colt just stared at him. At the certainty in his voice. The way Ryland said it like it was simple. Like booking an appointment was the only step between where Colt was now and getting his life back.
Something inside him snapped. “Oh, yeah? And how am I gonna pay for that, Ry? Huh? Tell me that.”
After a stunt gone wrong leaves Colt injured, broke, and terrified that the life he built is slipping away, he does the only thing he knows how to do: push everyone away.
Ryland Grace knows his brother better than anyone. He knows when Colt is lying, when he’s hurting, and when he’s pretending he doesn’t need anyone. Colt has spent his whole life being the one who’s there to catch Ryland when he falls. He should have known his brother would be there to do the same for him.
