Similar to the LiveJournal Dragon Age Kink Meme, the DAPromptExchange Tumblr is the place for all your Dragon Age prompts and story ideas. Have an idea that you don’t have time to write? Post it and maybe someone else will pick it up.

Prompts are free to fill - no need to claim or to apply - just start writing! How you post is up to you. You can reply to the original post, post it to your own tumblr, post it to AO3 or FF.net, or anywhere else you like to post your work. This Collection is an archive of all the great filled prompts that have been posted to AO3 - making it easier for you to read new work!

Q. WHAT IS THIS EXCHANGE FOR?

A. Ever been looking for a new idea and just can’t come up with something you like? Or do you have an idea you know you’re never going to write but would love for someone else to write it for you? Well here you can post your ideas or grab a new idea for that next writing project. You’ll never know when inspiration strikes.

Q. DO I NEED TO CLAIM A PROMPT TO WRITE SOMETHING FOR IT?

A. Nope! Feel free to write for any prompt, even if someone has filled it previously. There’s no pressure to claim ideas or fill them. It’s entirely up to you.

Q. I’M NOT A WRITER; CAN I DRAW SOMETHING OR CREATE SOMETHING ELSE FOR A PROMPT?

A. ABSOLUTELY! While the Exchange is aimed at writers if you’re inspired in some other way by a prompt then you should go for it! Make sure you let us know when you finish your piece as we would love to see it!

Q. DO I HAVE TO DO EXACTLY WHAT THE PROMPT SAYS? CAN I USE DIFFERENT CHARACTERS OR A DIFFERENT PAIRING?

A. Of course! The idea is to be inspired. If a prompt inspires you but you want to write about a different character, go ahead. We will still link to your fill and promote your work but may add a note about which character or pairing you have used.

Q. WHY CAN’T I SUBMIT NSFW PROMPTS?

A. The LJ Dragon Age Kink Meme is the place for NSFW prompts and fills. Why fix what’s not broke?

Q. AM I ALLOWED TO WRITE NSFW CONTENT IN MY FILL?

A. Go nuts. Write whatever you would like! Just be sure to let us know the content is NSFW if you would like us to advertise your work and keep the NSFW content behind the Read More.

Q. I’VE WRITTEN SOMETHING FOR A PROMPT - WHERE SHOULD I POST IT?

A. Wherever you would like. If you have an AO3 account you can add it to your works, you can post it on your tumblr, or you can reblog the prompt with your piece attached. If you want, you can let us know when you’ve posted something in response to a prompt and we will link to it so everyone can enjoy what you’ve written!

Q. I WANT TO SUBMIT A PROMPT.

A. Awesome! You can send an Ask for short prompts or use the Submit feature for longer prompts! Submit as many as you would like.

1. All submitted prompts must be Safe for Work.

2. Character bashing, hate, slurs, and any unsocial text is not permitted in prompts or fills.

3. This Exchange is for the Dragon Age series only.

4. The Moderators reserve the right to remove any fill from the collection or delete prompts without posting as they see fit.
