No busco contar DAI. La explosión del Cónclave es solo el punto de partida que me permite narrar otra historia: el origen íntimo de una relación que cambiará el mundo. Pretendo entrar en el alma oscura de Solas.
Cuando empecé a escribir esta historia en plena pandemia, yo también creí el relato que Solas nos vendió. Pero entendí que era apenas una versión dentro de una ficción mayor. Después de todo, él fue llamado dios de la Rebelión, la Traición y el Engaño, según la historia que se cuente...
Este libro es el origen de la mujer detrás del mito, y del amor antes de la caída. Es una tragedia élfica con tono oscuro y crudo. Yo solo quiero desnudar la historia.

What if "Dragon Age: The Veilguard" was not stuck in such a development hell? What if Project Joplin had not wholly been abandoned? What if we truly had received a game more in line with the first three?
A hypothetical look into an alternate universe where the fourth Dragon Age had a tad fewer problems in its 10-year development cycle.
Disclaimer: I don't hate the game, I actually think it's quite great given the development hell Bioware went through in those 10 years. This is more of a hypothetical universe where there was less of that behind-the-scenes drama. Just a fun writing exercise.

When I began writing this story during the pandemic, I too believed the tale Solas had sold us. But I came to understand it was only one version within a greater fiction. He was, after all, remembered as the god of Lies, Treachery and Rebellion, depending upon the story.
This book is the origin of the woman behind the myth, and of love before the fall. It is an elven tragedy, and all I want is to bare the wound.
