I really wanted to expand on the feeling of regrets and how Solas uses that to manipulate Rook into taking his place. The consequences of Rook's choices will be featured and explored. I intend to recount the game and fill in some gaps, reintroduce lore from the old games and add scenes I thought were missing, like breaks after major missions (HELLO, ROMANCED COMPANION DURING PRISON OF REGRETS). It's as lore-accurate as possible to the old games, but I have taken some liberties. Characters from old games will have bigger roles to play. Rated E for eventual smut.

Disclaimer: I don't hate the game, I actually think it's quite great given the development hell Bioware went through in those 10 years. This is more of a hypothetical universe where there was less of that behind-the-scenes drama. Just a fun writing exercise.

When she finally manages to track Solas down, however, she finds out there's always room for more regrettable life choices. Solas might be safely contained in Fade Jail, but she’s just unleashed two all-powerful megalomaniacal bastards in his place. As if that wasn’t bad enough, Solas now has a permanent visiting room inside her head, Varric’s stuck on long-term bedrest, and she’s been out of the Inquisiting game for long enough to have essentially zero political power, meaning she’s operating entirely on goodwill and vibes.
Still, it’s not all bad. She’s got a new gang of friends ready and willing to help her put those dicks back in their box, a fancy new base of operations, and a pretty knife that’s a certified god-killer. Between them, they can get the job done. Probably. Stabbing two gods with a piece of cutlery will almost certainly be easier than working through her feelings for the hot Crowbomination she’s just hired, anyway. Who's a better match for a mage than a renowned mage-killer, right? (Possibly she's still on the bad choices train)

The Dread Wolf, meanwhile, is trapped in the Fade, forced to interact with the waking world through Rook until he can resume his path to contrition. Ness tries to juggle the two estranged lovers while building a team in order to defeat escaped Elvhen gods Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain--and possibly Solas.
Veilguard but with more involvement from my Inquisitor. Heavy on the Solavellan. My Rook will appear, and she romanced Davrin, so a little bit of that. Will probably tag as I go. Ideally I want to stick to the periphery of the story, like stuff we don't explicity see in-game, and this'll probably (definitely) get canon-divergent. Not much is planned; I'm just following the skeleton of the game and doing whatever I want with it!
