Summary
Tommy always wondered what he would say to his past self if he could go back in time. He would probably warn him about a lot of stuff and a lot of people.
And somehow,someway he's able to do that..not intentionally; yet he doesn't say any of the things he anticipated. He realises he's not in a place where he can actually fix things yet.
He's still learning everyday new things about his past and his life in general. He still doesn't know how he could heal. He still doesn't know if he's salvageable. What he didn't know most of all is that he needed to take a trip in the past and have the younger version of himself slam some sense into him.

Tldr; Tommy encounters his younger self in a dream and talks to him a bit.

"In one moment, Tommy is being beaten against an obsidian wall."In the next, he's waking up in his childhood bedroom. There's magic on his tongue, he's in his childhood home, and his family is still dysfunctional but they are at least together. He can prevent their destruction if he can just get past his own grown fears of them. He can do this by himself, it's what is best for them all. He can keep them from breaking apart, keep Wilbur and Tubbo from all the pain they've experienced. Tommy can do this for them, even if he's a little bit cracked now. If they get suspicious, well, what was that play Wilbur mentioned once? Hamlet? Tommy can just do what that guy did.
(Tommy time travels into the past and begins to disguise his traumatic responses as the same kind of Chat Madness his older brother Techno is known for. But madness begets madness, and how far can Tommy go with a lie that begins to bleed at the edges?)
