Bruno Madrigal returns to his family after being gone for so many years. After serendipitously meeting you, Bruno couldn't get you off his mind. Turns out, he was betrothed to your older sister ten years ago before his disappearance; something neither of you realized upon meeting. Now that he is back, and your sister is a married woman, Alma makes a request of your family. In this slowburn fic, you help Bruno find his footing in the community and build better relationships with his family. (Female pronouns and Y/N used bcs this is shameless self-insert content).

Summary
Knowing and hearing about someone is two very different things.
You have heard of Bruno Madrigal, but you were so young when he disappeared, you didn’t know a thing about him, especially after the village had almost completely sworn off talking about him for 10 years.
There he was though, putting his house back together like he had never left, well, he hadn’t really. Who was this man who made your heart flutter on sight, who made your cheeks flush everytime his name was uttered.
Who was he to you?
And who are you
To him? -

Summary
Bruno's an emotionally compromised guy - his family's past, even two years after his return, shadows him in the dark. It's also starting to catch up to him a little. One of the solutions to this is for the pair of you to work to resolve a vision which has arrived to haunt him - another is to supply him with some of the things he's been missing out on yourself. Perhaps they can both be done at the same time.
Or
You discover that Bruno has a thing for praise. You want to give him the world, anything he wants.

Summary
As you placed your face up against the wall, you nearly jumped back when you heard the lowest of murmurings coming from the other side.
"I knew it!" You cheered in your head, although your body shook with each whisper you could hear. It was hard to make out what exactly was being said. The thick walls muffled what was being said but you could hear it in the slightest.
The voice was low, both in pitch and in volume. It didn't sound angry, as you would expect a spirit to sound in the walls of your room. Every so often a creak would accompany the voice, and the words would pitch up for just a moment. But the next second, it was back to the low hum as before. You strained, stretching up on your tip toes as if that would help your hearing abilities.
You were just pondering waking Dolores' for her help when a sound caught your breath.
"Mierda."

You find Bruno in the most unlikely circumstances.
