Summary
“I was expecting visitors,” Astarion's voice echoed, suspended in the empty hall. Harlow did not reach for it. “I was not expecting you.”
Harlow swallowed. “Why are you here?”
Astarion laughed, gesturing to the hall. “This is my home.”
“You've been gone,” Harlow’s words smacked his out of the air.
“And you are in my window.”
With that, after five decades, time decided to trap them in the same moment so that they were forced to travel together once again, and the idea of fifty feet collapsed into a very tangible distance.
----
Fifty years after it all, Harlow sits in the frame of the window they shattered to break into the Crimson Palace. They didn't know Astarion came back. Astarion didn't expect the Guild to send Harlow.

Summary
“Is this how you imagined your freedom? Spending your nights watching over your pet Bhaalspawn?”
For most of Astarion’s undead existence, he didn’t imagine his freedom at all. But if someone had told him there would be love on the other side of his pain — a fierce, devastating sort of love that would change him and be changed in turn? He would have done terrible things to get it.
And now she’s his. A beast like him. Someone who will become the worst sort of monster for his sake.
He wants all of her. Even the parts that scare her.
//
Vidri fails a crucial wisdom roll and makes an unimaginable sacrifice to save Astarion’s life. The consequences of her decision haunt her on every full moon.
Astarion is not afraid. Not of her, not of her darkness, and not of their future. He trusts her not to hurt him. She needs to learn to trust herself.

Summary
“Miss Nomani, was it?” he asked, peering at her down the length of his nose. “Neve Nomani?”
He knew her name? “I—yes, sir,” Neve stammered. “I mean—yes, my lord.”
His lip curled upward again at her obvious nerves. “And do you know who I am, Miss Nomani?”
Should she know him? Did he have the same feeling when he looked at her?
She was beginning to feel rather ill caught in that slitted gaze of his. Half of her was desperate to be out of the room, and yet the other half was transfixed. Not by his beauty—not only by his beauty—but with an inexplicable kind of sinking feeling. It went beyond simple fear; there was a sadness to it, as well. Like the sight of him was wrong, somehow. The longer she stared at him, the more it felt like someone had reached inside her chest to squeeze her heart in an icy grip.
And she couldn’t look away.
__Summoned to make a delivery to the Crimson Palace by a mysterious note, a Neve who never left Baldur’s Gate finds herself haunted in the aftermath of her meeting with the inexplicably familiar Lord Ancunín.
