“Just please let me get this out,” she said in a rush. Everything about Adora was desperate. “I know I’m not good with words. But. Please…”
“Alright dummy. Go ahead.”
“Ok. Just. I wake up and when you aren’t there, I’m not ok. I go to school and when you aren’t sitting next to me, I'm not ok. I just,” She winced. “Wow, that sounds really creepy.”
“I can read between the lines. Keep going,” Catra encouraged gently.
Adora smiled weakly. “I guess. You get me. You’re not… like other girls,” she murmured. Then panic lit her eyes. “I mean! No! Like! Not that there’s anything wrong with other girls! Like. Girls are awesome! They’re all great and feminism and whatever, I just mean-” She stopped when Catra threw her head back in that perfect squeaking laugh of hers. Adora loved that laugh more than air.
“Oh my fucking God, you’re bad at this,” Catra teased.
Adora laughed weakly. “Yeah. I am. I guess. because I never tried for anyone else. No one else understood me. Or made me feel cared for… or valued for who I was over what I could do for them… I've never wanted anyone else… not like I want you.”
Catra smiled softly, eyes full of affection. “So. How long have you been in love with me?”

Last seen 1 month ago near the Whispering ForestThose are the words that lead Adora and Mara to discover something they never expected: their childhood friend Catra, who they separated from four years ago without a goodbye, has seemingly disappeared. When the two of them set out to find their past friend, Adora locates Catra in the strangest place: an endless train in the middle of an apocalyptic wasteland, where each train car is a whole world of its own, with its own puzzles, its own lessons and its own dangers.
When Mara is lost along the way, Adora and Catra must both find her, and a way off this train. But with four years of separation between them, they must figure a way out through their issues and maybe find a way to be friends again. Maybe they can find a way to be even more…
