Summary
The world ended three years ago, when the zombies replaced the earth's inhabitants and filled the streets.
But for Shaoyou, his world stopped when Huayong get bitten.
"I told you," Huayong whispered, his voice trembling. "I told you I had a bad feeling."
“No,” Shaoyou sobbed, clutching Huayong's face with blood-stained hands. "No, no, no. I have the medicine now. We can ... we can clean it. Maybe it won't—maybe—”
“Shaoyou, it's okay,” Huayong interrupted, reaching up to cover Shaoyou's hand with his own. "Just don't go. Please. Don't leave me here. Don't leave me alone when ... when it happens. Stay until the end. P–promise me?"

Summary
Huayong, a loner and seemingly indifferent college student, harbors deep feelings for his mature senior, Shaoyou. Along with Shaoyou's cheerful younger brother, Dingjie, the three are forced to form a friendship because Dingjie believes his first queer friend on campus should be able to get along with his open-minded and protective older brother.
Shaoyou is straight. He makes this clear from the moment Huayong make a subtle move on him. But Huayong doesn't really care much.
He's known for living by his own rules. He never goes to parties, never stays late, always runs off, and basically lives in the middle of nowhere.
But soon, the Sheng siblings realize it's not without reason.
Huayong is hiding something, or someone to be precise, and he's fiercely protective of it.
