What kinds of content can I create for HurtNoctWeek?
As long as the main focus of the piece revolves around hurting Noctis in some way, shape, or form, then you may create any fan work, in any kind of medium that you desire. All types of creative content are welcome!
Hurt/Comfort?- Bring it on.
Hurt No Comfort?- We’re ready to cry with you.
All pairings are welcome. General pieces are equally embraced. If Noct is hurt, then we want to see your creations!
Can we hurt other FFXV characters besides Noctis?
As long as the main focus of your piece is on Noctis, peripheral other character whump is allowed. (especially as collateral damage to emotionally hurt Noctis).
Does it matter where I post my content?
While you may post your work anywhere you desire, HurtNoctWeek 2021 will be officially running on three separate platforms: Ao3, Tumblr, and Twitter. All of our official sites are linked below. We will reblog/retweet all work for HurtNoctWeek 2021 on Tumblr and Twitter that are directed to the hashtag #HurtNoctWeek2021, as long as all preview images are safe for work and trigger warnings are appropriately tagged.

Do I need to sign up to participate?
You do not need to sign-up to participate. Anyone who wishes to play is welcome to join in at any point during the week.
How does this work?
After we collect prompt suggestions from the community, we will organize each day of the week into a theme, with a selection of prompts that fit that theme. Once the themes and prompts have been finalized, we will release that information so that if you choose, you may prepare your pieces for the week ahead of time.
When HurtNoctWeek 2021 begins, you simply need to share your work by posting to the Ao3 collection, Tumblr, and/or Twitter.
When posting on Ao3, please indicate in your summary that your piece has been created for HurtNoctWeek 2021 so that it can be easily identified as being a part of the event.
When posting on Tumblr or Twitter, please use the hashtag #HurtNoctWeek2021 so that we can easily find your work and promote it by reblogging and/or retweeting.
Do I have to use the prompts?
Since we wish to encourage your creativity, you do not need to use the specific prompts. If you have an idea for a creative work that fits a theme for any of our days for HurtNoctWeek 2021, then we want to see it.
What if I don’t like the theme/prompts for a particular day? Can I substitute a theme/prompt from a different day?
Absolutely!
Do I have to create a piece for every day of the event to participate?
While of course we would love to see as much content dedicated to hurting Noct as possible, you do not have to create a piece for every day of the event to participate. You may submit as much or as little content for HurtNoctWeek 2021 as you wish.
Can I post late?
Of course! Even if you are not able to post during the official week, we still would love to see the work you’ve created. You may post it in the Ao3 collection, or on Tumblr or Twitter with the hashtag #HurtNoctWeek2021. However, our promotion of late submissions as a part of the event will only extend for one additional week after the event has ended.

Rules:
1. You are responsible for the content that you create and consume. The nature of this event lends itself to heavier themes. As such, you must be respectful and rate and tag your work appropriately so that everyone is properly prepared for the content it contains.
2. In order to have your work included in the Ao3 collection you must appropriately tag with the major Ao3 warnings. If none of the warnings apply, you must select “No Archive Warnings Apply.” For the purposes of this event, we will not be accepting any pieces into the collection that use the “Author Chooses Not to Use Archive Warnings” tag.
3. Any previews of art, fic, or other media on social media will only be retweeted/reblogged if they are SFW and content warnings are given for any work containing content that could be considered triggering.
