Summary
Tony isn't a healthy man. He's fine with that, really. It makes perfect sense. Unfortunately, he has a job to do that kind of has his health as a major requirement. So he unmakes himself, remakes the Accords, protects every single child super that enters his field of view, and hopes ferociously that the Avengers never come back to the US. He doesn't spend any time at all rebuilding Bucky Barnes' life. Not a single second. Anything he does that contributes to him is simply an accident.
Bucky is a patient man. It's ok if Tony wants to ignore him for now. He won't be able to forever.

Summary

Tony Stark spirals out of control, unable to fully escape the demons of his own creation, to the point that has his friends worried for his sanity. They send him away from the New York epicenter, hoping to salvage what he has left of his mind.
The soulmate he had all but given up on ever finding had been not forty-five minutes away from his Malibu home. And, it seemed, was one of the few people in his life that he'd met who had zero interest in him whatsoever.
Naturally, it only makes Tony that much more determined to know her.

If there's one thing that Tony Stark cannot stand it's magic. If you have to break physics to get something done, then you do not do that thing. Tony likes physics. It's solid and dependable and always does what it's supposed to and has lots of nice lovely maths and equations in it. So Loki can damn well shut the hell up because Tony is not a mage, thank you very much, and he absolutely does not have a single magical bone in his body!
