Summary
Two years after the disappearance and death of her sister, Roseanna is barely holding herself together. The summer before her senior year, she works late nights at a local Chinese restaurant where the AC only works when it wants to, and she's counting down the days until she can finally leave Hawkins behind.
Then she meets someone unexpected, someone who sees her in a way that's both terrifying and comforting. Drawn to the fragile promise of connection, Roseanna risks opening herself up only to find that grief and fear don't loosen their grip so easily.
Meanwhile, the opening of a new mall ushers in a series of impossible events that force her to question everything she thought she knew about her small town. She believed she understood what went on in Hawkins when no one was watching, but some truths demand to be witnessed firsthand. And once you see them, there's no looking away.
Caught between a budding romance and a waking nightmare, Roseanna must survive senior year, the horrors creeping out of the dark, and a town that may not let her leave alive.

Summary
Ringo Wheeler had enough problems. She was named after a member of a band she doesn’t even like, she can’t find her favourite record in any store along the East Coast and she pissed her parents off enough to be shipped to Indiana.
Now, she has a new set of problems - being the ‘new kid’, sharing a room with her cousin Nancy and Nancy’s intolerable boyfriend, Steve.
Oh, and a demon that escaped from an alternate dimension is trying to kill everyone.
