Summary
Stephanie watched the clock on the microwave as three came and went as she puttered around in the kitchen sweeping away non-existent dust. Really, her mind was preoccupied with the man taking up residence on her well-loved couch. Caught in the dreary, icy storm raging bullets outside, he showed up drenched like a drowned kitten at her front door. Stephanie had ushered Jason quickly into the shower to warm up his freezing bones. Unfortunately, already waking up cold and stiff, the impromptu ice bath had only caused his old, already acting-up injuries to loudly ring anew.
