Summary
The letter had landed on the grand ornate desk, the carved dragons winding around the hardwood edges. For the hand of the Crown Prince Chigiri in marriage, the Realm of Akita will call a ceasefire, retreat their sentries and even aid in the reconstruction of Kagoshima.
Absurd.
If that meant they would suffer more years of war then so be it. Chigiri would not be handed over. Especially not to Prince Kunigami, the infamous royal from the Realm of Akita—a master of the demon arts who's succumbed to the evil magic when he was barely old enough to walk.
It's a dismal reality when the crown prince of Kagoshima catches the eye of the enemy across the seas. Some say he's a demon spawn. Others dare not to breathe a word about him or else they'll never breathe again.
In which, Kunigami sets Chigiri's world ablaze.

“Agh! That was cold!” Kunigami cried out through peals of laughter. “Who the—” He stopped talking after he made eye contact with Chigiri, the winger trying to stifle a loud cackle from escaping his lips. “Hyoma, you are so paying for that later.” Even from a few meters away, in the dark of night, Chigiri could see Kunigami’s eyes darken in a way that was only ever directed towards him. Even with his pupils dilated, his irises still seemed to sparkle with the amber that was left visible. Beautiful…

Summary
Chigiri laughs. It’s a slightly nasally sound, a little high pitched but resonant in her chest. She knows she’s quite the handsome young woman, and has already been subject to some compliments and attention from the various teams they’d faced in the first selection. Kunigami’s never been so overt with it, but Chigiri knows the other girl thinks she’s attractive. Who wouldn’t think so? Chigiri is gorgeous. She’s tall and thin, her lean build contributing to a more androgynous silhouette that she’s grateful for. Her shoulders are broad, certainly not as massive as Kunigami’s, but wide for her own proportions and they make the taper from her shoulders to her waist seem even more pronounced. Given the nature of what 'helping' would entail, there’s some low-hanging fruit here, a joke to be made about Kunigami’s sincere and well-meaning offer to look out for her health, and Chigiri can’t help but want to take advantage of it. “Help me out?” Chigiri repeats with a smirk. “Kunigami, I’m sure there’s a less roundabout way of saying you’d like to touch my chest.”
