“Your- huh?” Roy’s eyebrows raised, face plastering confusion for one moment before being overtaken with shock.
“My mom, Queen Berra of Shayeris. She wants to meet you.”

But before either of them could even reach for their cutlery, a loud buzzing rang through Garth’s thigh, shaking violently in his pocket. The device was small and circular, easy enough to hide and stow away in any situation. It was something Garth never left the house without. Scrambling for the device in his pocket, the sinking pit of lead in Garth’s stomach knew exactly what it was.
It was a distress beacon.

Summary
“You were almost there, now pick yourself up and try again.”
The remnants of excess magic sizzle out against rock, glowing blues and yellows against the dark, unnaturally colored silt. Garth’s hands dig into the sand as he pushes himself off of the ground, mustering his strength to pull his body up. He feels the physical toll on his body from the energy expelled but holds it back as best as he can, fearful the wizard will make him take a break. Atlan was always aware to a fault, but as long as Garth was not falling off of his feet, training would continue.
He refused to stop until he got this spell just right.
