Sam glanced over at Bucky, watching him closely. Watched him relax back into the seat with the gun in his hands and looking out at nothing. He deeply, deeply hoped that Bucky wouldn’t end up killing more people as this Flagsmasher shitshow continued on. With how easy it had been for Buck to slip right back into the Winter Soldier mode, he had a feeling that he’d be disappointed. This mission was going nowhere good. Nowhere good at all.

Peter stops leaving his apartment after he's given the news that his spider-like heat cycle is starting. completely oblivious to the fact he even had one to begin with, he look's to Stephen and Tony for help, who tell him to quarantine until it passes. while under the impression that he would know what to do with himself by instinct, he slowly but surely accepts the fact he has no idea how to handle it on his own. just as it becomes unbearable, a familiar, now pissed off merc shows up like a knight and shining armor, bearing grocery bags of supplies and a plan.

(yes, there is rough and desperate smut. but the focus is the heat cycle, which is, mind you, unbearably exhausting and emotional. this is sexy to a niche, which is probably traumatized autistics. I'm just gonna put that out there.)

Hydra is on the rise again and Bucky wants to use his retrieved freedom to hunt them down and get rid of them. But every time he gets to one of Hydra’s hideouts he finds it already raided by someone else. And when that someone else turns out to be Zemo, well, Bucky is not amused. However the Baron offers cooperation and Bucky has no other choice but to agree.
