Max is a werewolf, who is guarding the limit of his pack's territory when he finds Nat, who was attacked by a vampire and left with a mangled body. Faced with such a pitiful thing, Max decides to help him and secretly takes care of him until he can recover.

Nat would probably hate to film one of these explicit scenes if it were with anyone other than Max — but, somehow, it turned out to come kind of naturally for them. It probably started when Max pressed him on that couch, a couple of years ago: his phi's body looming over his, his eyes so full of pretend-lust and pretend-feelings that Nat, at some point, forgot that was all pretend and got really lost in it.

Summary
They did not have a falling-out. At least, not really. They just stopped needing to be together to get new acting jobs. Then life got busy. Hectic film schedules, events, press, family time. It became harder and harder to find time to be together. Phone calls and texts became fewer and farther between. Before they knew it, they had stopped talking to each other altogether.
It happened so slowly that Nat didn't really notice. People began to forget them, they became a distant, fond memory from another time. They saw each other in passing, at ceremonies, at events. Always cordial, but without anything to share. Nat is 30 now, Max will be 39 soon, and they should be over it, but somehow they're not.
Or MaxNat 10 years down the road, not working together anymore but still caring deeply from afar.
