My story 'Dreaming the Life' could be considered a prequel to this, but it's more of a companion piece. Although not immediately apparent, elements of it are woven throughout this one and should be considered required reading.
Also a companion piece, 'Rynna' (a Justin/Kathryn story) is not necessary reading, but it does give a richer feel to the parts that cross over into this one.
Warning - There are a few instances where sexual assault is mentioned. It is never depicted, nor does a character describe details. It's simply a part of the character's history and only the emotional toll is discussed.
