FAQ:
💜What is a “flash event”?
A flash event is a fandom event where prompts are released for an event with a short period time (usually a week or less) given to participants to create and post. Flash events encourage quick, easy, unpolished, low-pressure creations made in a short period of time to encourage creativity without pressure.
💜When is it?
Prompts will be released on April 17, and the timeframe for posting your work is the weekend of April 24-26. You can create as many works as you want, mix the prompts, etc. The only rules are to tag appropriately (see below), that you use the prompt list, and that your work/works are posted on April 24-26.
💜 How do I participate?
The most common ways to participate are by creating art or writing a fic and posting it online. All you need to do is select a prompt (mixing prompts is also allowed) and create a Rujinu fanwork related to it. You also need to tag your work appropriately (see below.)
Writing: We encourage a 1,000 maximum word count limit, but feel free to make it longer! You can make ficlets too! The point of a flash event is to avoid burnout - don’t feel pressured to produce a masterpiece! Focus on having fun and engaging with the community!
Art: We encourage quick, easy doodles and sketches to fill prompts. No coloring needed unless you want to! If you want to make a fully rendered piece, you can do that too.
We encourage you to post your work no matter if you consider it unfinished. "Sketch quality" art or "brain rot" writing is 100% welcome! Give us the brain juice!
💜 Why is there a timeframe?
The goal of a flash event is for everyone to post their works simultaneously to create a "flash" of content in the tags.
💜 What if I'm late?
Try to post during the posting period, but if you miss out or find this event late, the Ao3 collection will remain open for you to post! If you post on social media only, @rujinucafe so that mods are sure to see it.
💜 Can I post my stuff to other places online too?
Of course, you can! If you want us to know that you've posted elsewhere, feel free to DM us the link on Bluesky (@rujinucafe.bsky.social) or Tumblr (rujinucafe).

Rules:
💜 What kind of work is accepted?
· Anything is accepted, no matter what fanwork you submit! You can write a fic, create fanart, sing a song, make a graphic/gif set, write a poem, or make a video (or anything else you can think of). You can also show your support by reblogging/reposting and liking other people’s contributions.
· Please keep fanworks focused on the Rujinu ship and use any prompts from the list. Rumi and Jinu should always be the main ship focus, even if there are other ships involved.
· Original fanworks created for this event. In other words, fanworks must be new.
· Original fanworks that you made yourself. No work created by generative AI is permitted. If it comes to the mods' attention that your work was made using AI, your work will be ignored and/or removed from the collection.
💜 Is this event SFW or NSFW?
Generally speaking, there are no explicit SFW or NSFW prompts involved. However, this event can be whatever you make it as long as you tag works appropriately.
💜 How should I tag my work?
The easiest way for us to find your work so we can reblog/repost it is to use #RujinuFlashWeekend. You should also @rujinucafe. You are also welcome to use any other Rujinu/Jinumi or Kpop Demon Hunters tags so that more people can find your work.
If there are any warnings, tag them appropriately and thoroughly.
