Summary
The world may have named him a Rabid Dog, but at the end of the day he was only human.
And so it was that Akutagawa began the trials and tribulations of forging a new path, one that unfortunately required Atsushi. The only reasonable step forward would be to commence a courtship of some sort, then begin a more spectacular relationship than any other in the history of the world. They would spend wondrously satisfying days together and then die at exactly the same moment either in glorious battle or well-earned old age. Really it was the only logical progression of their partnership.

Summary
He approached the couch and any better judgement he might have held before vanished, when he held Akutagawa's hand, dainty and slender, but still covered in scars and calouses. Definitely as human as any hand Atsushi had ever held.
"It's not how it's supposed to be, is it?"
Akutagawa just bitterly shook his head, eyes shifting away from Atsushi almost in disgust. And it surely had to be the same kind of disgust Atsushi felt in the bathroom looking at the tiger's paws.
Akutagawa is a selkie missing his skin. And for a selkie, missing the skin means death.

Summary
Akutagawa rolled his eyes; Atsushi still needed significant coaching in operating undercover; one could spot his signature gait and glowing eyes from a mile away. For some reason he was under the assumption that all he needed to be inconspicuous was a hat, but Akutagawa would chide him for that later. Now he was trying to piece together what reason the fool had for trying to melt in with the general populace. Certainly there was no mission. If Atsushi was on a mission, he would know about it. So what was this? Why was he trying to not be seen, and why wasn’t he at the Agency…on his birthday of all days.

Birthday shenanigans as Akutagawa does his best to fit into his new role as Atsushi's "work" partner. Will there be wishes? Awkwardness? Fluff? Cupcakes? A kiss..
