Sid examined him closely, forcing himself to look past Geno’s too-dark eyes, his bonewhite skin, his lips hiding his fangs. This was Geno, and Sid knew his face better than almost anyone’s — and even in this unsettling version of it, Sid couldn’t find a trace of teasing or humor. He sank slowly back down into his chair. "What the fuck,” Sid whispered.
“Sid,” Geno said, “I think… maybe you not from here.”
After a fight with Geno that threatens the long-term future of their relationship, Sid wakes up in an alternate universe where he's pretending to date a vampire version of Geno, forcing him to confront what it means to make a decision that might last forever.
