"Weren't you listening? I said it's not your time. I'm not here for you," Stiles says, waving his hand. "I'm off-duty."
"Off duty," Peter says slowly.
"Yeah. The twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred and sixty five days a year thing gets tiring after a few thousand years," Stiles says. "We unionized after the bubonic plague, because fuck, that was a nightmare."
"Grim reapers unionized..." Peter says.
"Yep," Stiles says, smirking. "Am I breaking your brain, dude?"
Or
Stiles is a reaper, and Peter's soul shouldn't be floating around the hospital.

He sells a few charms and chats with several curious betas and emissaries, all of whom seem impressed with the accomplishments of such a young practitioner. He’s optimistic about the rest of the convention. Until he gets a little warm and takes off his jacket.

Peter had never been interested in mating with an omega. He has always felt like all the propaganda around a wolf finding something special in an omega rather than a mate of their own kind if garbage. Omegas are annoying, and simpering and silly. Unfortunately, his recently acquired alpha status means that if he wants to finally break free of his sister’s pack, he needs an omega mate.
Stiles never ever wanted to mate with a werewolf. Werewolves, especially alpha werewolves, are obnoxious, pretentious douchebags who are only looking for an omega as a notch in their status belt. Unfortunately, fate has conspired against him. He needs an alpha mate and fast, not only that but someone powerful enough to stand up to Talia Hale.

Summary
Peter didn’t mean to become the alpha, Derek had never meant to come back to Beacon Hills, and Stiles hadn’t meant to become a werewolf. Just because you don’t mean for something to happen doesn’t mean it’s not something good. Sometimes the things we think are the worst possible scenario end up being the best things to happen to us. Maybe, just maybe, these things were actually meant to be.
A season 1 AU starting from episode 9, ‘Wolf’s Bane’ where Peter bites Stiles that night in the hospital. This starts a chain reaction of events that leads to everything playing out very differently than canon. Peter learns how to be a better alpha, Derek learns how to let people back into his life and Stiles finds out what pack can really mean.
