Summary
Geralt has spent several hundred years alone. Except for the summer solstice, where there is enough magic that he gets to spend the night with Jaskier again. Geralt has reached the end of his life and hangs on long enough to make it to that night, to have that magic, and maybe finally be with his bard again, this time forever. Sometimes, dying isn't so bad, and definitely isn't the end.

Summary
"You know," he says, tucking more purple flowers into the crown, nearly but not quite drowning out the white, "I never did catch your name."
"Eskel. You?"
"Hmm," the man lets out a hum as he seems to consider his options. Something about it feels oddly familiar, but Eskel can't place it. "I think you can call me Dandelion," he says after a moment.
Eskel's asked to deal with a violent specter of some sort, but ends up finding something else entirely.

“I don’t suppose you happen to know where we are? Or where my phone is? Or my friends? Or - ha, this is embarrassing, how I actually got here, do you?”
The child blinked, and glanced at something behind Julian. He didn’t turn to look.
“Roach liked you,” she said, which explained precisely nothing and did, in fact, leave Julian with far more questions than he started the day with.
“I - see,” he said, rather than voicing any of them.
“Usually she just drowns people,” she continued, apparently oblivious to the way the blood drained from Julian's face.

Summary
“I only ever left you once and that’s because you finally broke my heart.” He sees Geralt’s mouth open and cuts him off before he can speak. “It was five years ago and I have long since forgiven you that. So tell me, Witcher idiot of my heart, why you can’t just let me have two damn minutes to scream in an empty meadow and cry in an empty bathtub?”
Geralt bent low, as if in supplication. “I hate seeing you hurt. Especially when I am the cause. I hated it with the djinn. I hated it on the mountain once I calmed. I hate it every time I cannot… find the right way to react and your eyes go cold.” He lifted his head to meet those cornflower blue eyes he adored. “I fear I will break your heart again, so I came to see if…”
“If I was leaving? Finally fed up with you? Ready to blame you for every shitty situation in my life?” Forgiven is not forgotten, clearly.

Summary
With every drop of tears that hits the ground, a flower blooms.
*
Flowers follow Geralt everywhere.
A cornflower has bloomed from the bark of the tree, its petals nudging past his fingers as it sprouts from the trunk, hanging on by a thin stem, so fragile underneath his hands. A burst of bright, bright blue.
It’s the exact shade of Jaskier’s eyes.
