The obvious strikes Wednesday as she stands beneath the stream of water.
Of course! How can she be such a slow, ridiculous fool?
All the signs are right there!
The casual affection, the nickname, her own strange comfort around her.
If that doesn't scream 'in a relationship', she does not know what would.
While it is true that she has had these… ambiguous feelings and reactions towards her roommate as of late, never would she have pegged herself as the sort to end up in such a gross, disgustingly sappy arrangement like her parents. Well, no— no one could ever be as obnoxious as those two, thank hell, but this is… not too different.
Even so, she cannot dismiss the obvious evidence present.
Especially not those rings— the one Enid wears and the one in that drawer.
All of this can only point to one thing.
It is a wedding ring, carefully stored away so that it does not rust, decay, or fade.
And this means that Enid is… her wife.
Wednesday wakes up one morning, is missing a few memories, and concludes that Enid must be her wife.
