Self-explanatory: these are my zombie-specific stories. They might not necessarily all be undead shamblers (à la Romero), but they'll be close variants at most (e.g.: Z-nation, 28 days later). No “zombie-like” metaphors (e.g.: iPhone “zombies”).

Summary
Z-quarantine. A whole lot of nothing, and hopefully not punctuated by any excitement. Excitement rhymes with screaming and blood.
"Waiting" is set in Niflheimr, a world to the northwest of Jötunheimr and north of Earth 1 (Orion Earth: Miðgårðr). See map of local world-ponds for details.
For the record: I sketched out this story NLT 14 Oct 2019, well before the covid quarantines.

Summary
Charlie Brown had had no idea of what he'd been getting into when he'd seen the little red-haired girl in the cabin at summer camp.
Now he was home, and nobody believed his tale of Deadites and Kandarian Demons. He'd been a shaking wreck for weeks, and Snoopy had been bringing dinner to him every day.
He'd almost talked himself into believing that it had all been a psychotic break, just as his father had assured him it had been.
And then the murders began...
Rated Mature for the psychological-horror aspects of The Evil Dead (probably at least Teen on a couple of visual descriptions) as made stark by their contrast with the incongruous Peanuts setting; the language is standard Peanuts level [G or PG], and the violence is about midway between the two (mostly ~PG-13, but maybe R in one scene).

Summary
The Zombocalypse had come, not with a bang, but with a whimper. A quiet degrading of society, wasting away. There were still plenty of options, but none of them were any good.
I chose slime molds for their information processing potential, but this zombie-mold variant has a nature something like what you see with Ophiocordyceps unilateralis (not really an original idea, but not intentionally a well-earned homage to M. R. Carey's The girl with all the gifts either), though I picture it as more varied in much the manner that we see in The last of us (also not intentionally the well-earned homage that it deserves).
(EDIT, 27 Oct 2022: Interestingly, Peter Meredith seems to have had a similar line of reasoning, having chosen some species of fusarium for the zombies in his War of the Undead series.)I read and appreciate (and try to reply to) all of your comments (they are always welcome)!

Summary
When the Peanuts Gang drives into a small town in rural presumably-Pennsylvania, everything seems perfectly normal at first. Things deteriorate rapidly from there.
Death holds its own terrors, but when the dead refuse to stay dead, this holds a new terror as they stalk the night.
(And what better way to ramp things up between Halloween cartoon specials and campy grade-Z horror on a Friday night than a nice little crossover fic to set the mood and goof over? 😉 [And as I ask this, it strikes me that a Sunday morning in August doesn't quite fit the vibe, but... meh, close enough: someone'll read it come Hallowe'en, and on mean average there's close to a 1/7 chance that any given reader will hit it on a Friday, and half of them at night, right?] So once you've put the cat to bed and set the kids out for the night [wait, did I get those the right way around?], go ahead and grab some snacks, roll up in a comforter, and settle in for a long splinter's night... or something like that.)

Summary
The hero always wins, the evil is always defeated, the world is always saved — except when things go a little bit sideways. Here, Morgoth warred directly, without Sauron, and won. After millennia of self-indulgent evil, he grew bored and cast his eye to other worlds. Enter Rick Grimes.
This is a serial zombie apocalypse drama in a Middle Earth AU, with no winning in sight. “Complete” doesn't/can't apply here.
Update 15 Jul 2023: Focused on other works, burned out Dec 2020, got my mojo back, knocked out a few other WIPs, returned to this Grimes in Middle Earth crossover (to make up for delay, see the footnote at end listing 22 sources of legally free RPG materials); took break 1Q22 to finish Peach/Zelda & Sonic. Spending 2023 on a year-long 24/7 multivariate deep-dive of AO3 traffic.
