In the aftermath of the Maze virus, a plague that drove the infected into homicidal rage before a cure was developed, survivors cling to grim, rigid routines inside a militarized city compound. Every morning before dawn, Pete wakes before the alarms and retrieves the day’s updated list: a roster of the living, the dead, the infected, the cured, and the resistant. Along with Collie and Richie, the only other two known survivors of their group, they scour the pages each morning for familiar names, hoping to find someone they lost during their brutal journey to safety.

I got hooked on the idea of continuing my zombie fic, and this was born. I don't think reading the first fic would be super necessary, but it might be assumed at times that the reader knows what actually happened.
