Summary
A plague called the Maze Virus has previously swept through the country, transforming its victims into a homicidal, zombie-like state. A cure has been discovered, and 75% of those infected who could be captured have been treated and cured of the virus. The remaining 25% have proven resistant to the cure.

Premise inspired by The Cured (2017). In the aftermath of the Maze virus, a plague that drove the infected into homicidal rage before a cure was developed, survivors cling to grim, rigid routines inside a militarized city compound. Every morning before dawn, Pete wakes before the alarms and retrieves the day’s updated list: a roster of the living, the dead, the infected, the cured, and the resistant. Along with Collie and Richie, the only other two known survivors of their group, they scour the pages each morning for familiar names, hoping to find someone they lost during their brutal journey to safety.
