   Summary

   Penny Wiley has just finished her EM residency and is on her way back from a celebratory camping trip in the Smokies. She decides to stop by her old army pal Merle's trailer—a yearly tradition—before continuing home to Atlanta. She meets Daryl, hears the news of a virus spreading, and makes some choices that include sticking with the Dixon brothers.

   The story follows Penny, Daryl and Merle as they navigate through the zombie apocalypse together. Expect a slow burn romance between Daryl and Penny. Merle has a sibling-like relationship with Penny, stemming from their shared time in the Army.
