Summary
In his first life, Sanji married Charlotte Pudding.
He had loved her since they were children, believed her when she promised to marry him, and ignored every warning sign right up until he discovered she was sleeping with his brothers. Then they killed him.
When Sanji wakes up the day before he is supposed to choose his future spouse, everyone already knows how this is going to go. Pudding is waiting. His brothers are smug. His father expects him to secure the alliance.
Instead, Sanji points to the penniless swordsman he fed earlier that afternoon. “I choose him.”
It is supposed to be a marriage of convenience. Zoro has nothing, Sanji wants nothing, and neither of them owes the other love.
Unfortunately, the beggar Sanji married turns out to be the long-lost Crown Prince of the Shimotsuki Kingdom.
And even more unfortunately, Zoro has no intention of divorcing him.
