As the tale goes, a banquet was held for all the animals the god knew and loved dearly. He held each living creature close to his heart and his soul, but when the cat showed up, as he did the last couple of years, he felt like death was upon him, and this broke a piece of the god's heart. To this new threat of passing, he worried this lovely banquet would forever be forgotten with time. His anxiety grew, and within a moment's notice, he forced a certain soul to create an unbreakable bond for all of those involved. The curse was arranged, but the god thought of it all as nothing but a blessing, something to be proud of. The god wished for their souls to all be reborn together, over again to keep up this banquet for all of eternity. With this arrangement came the problem where if any soul came into an embrace with one of the opposite gender they'd be forced to transform into what they once were. This curse was pushed to one soul in particular because this soul helped the god the most. This special soul, that was left to be erased from the other's minds, was forced to keep to themselves as they would turn when touched by either gender.
