Summary
Pomni hadn't ever thought she'd wind up in a predicament where her and Jax would be on the same bed.
..Much less one where he'd be laying down whilst she straddled the width of his long torso, leaning towards his face with a makeup brush.
In fact, she never thought the guy would allow a makeup brush anywhere near his face. She's surprised he hasn't yet pushed her off and watched her roll to the floor with the widest of grins on his cheeks — that he hasn't laughed at whatever complaints she'd likely spew out at him in response.
You know, now that she's thinking of it, he's actually.. being surprisingly tolerable right now. The protests beforehand were one thing — the ones that whined and complained that "Makeup was for girls!" or that, "This stuff could be toxic; you never know, Pom-Pom!" — but for now, he seems to be okay.
Pomni does Jax's makeup, much to both their surprise.

Summary
The monster wailed and leaped for her. Pomni jumped out of the way.
It must have been luck, earlier, and Jax must have used it all up with his stunts. Because the monster fell right into the trap, limbs flailing and flying in all directions in its effort to stop.
Jax arrived just in time to watch its tail lash out, right into Pomni. It knocked her too far down - her arm scraped the rim of the hole, slid off, and then she was falling.

Pomni looked terrible. The word 'seizure' came to mind, watching her body flicker all over the place. Her eyes were open, face twisted in a grimace, static jolting across her body every few seconds. It looked...painful.

Pomni rescues Jax. Jax can't help but return the favor.

Summary
It was absolutely unremarkable. Some girl talking to herself as she explored a building that she was clearly bored of. Nothing special.
Jax… knew that voice, though. It made all of the difference. He wanted her to say something else-- he needed her to say something else. He could hear his heartbeat in his ears. In the back of his mind, he could hear a jester-looking girl laughing at something stupid he said.
(Or: After escaping the circus, Jax finds himself back in the unchanged real world. Unfortunately, the relationships he'd made-- and didn't make-- in the Circus continued to nag at him.)
