this was truly a 10/10 fic omggg, i loved the writing n characterizion n pacing, it's also so romantic n tender without being too cheesy. UGH n the hq references sprinkled thru like iwaoi at the end, msby still getting tgt. was so easy to read n easy to immerse myself rahhh actually amazing.

Summary
“Hi, Tsukki!” Yamaguchi light voice rings, smile widening further into what Tsukishima can only describe as a full on beam.
Tsukishima doesn't respond, instead he raises his hand to play with the door latch in an embarrassingly obvious act of self-soothing. This always happens. And after the encounters, Tsukishima will inevitably lay in bed with headphones blasting music while convincing himself that the tidal wave of emotion Yamaguchi stirred up in him earlier in the day were not in fact tidal waves at all, but mere ripples. And that with proper mindful thinking and steady preparation he won't act any differently than he does with the other volleyball club members. He won't have to fixate on nearby objects in a desperate attempt to coax his body to not blabber out his unadulterated and mind-numbing affections for his best friend. No not at all, he'll do no such thing and keep his hands resting at his sides very normally, as very normal people do. Not people like him, with an unrequited love for their best friend.
