Tsumugi lied about a lot of things over the course of the game, and she lied even more during the final case.
Instead of having to pick up the pieces of their new lives as infamous celebrities that took down the largest media empire on the planet... The Survivor Trio is having to deal with quite the opposite.
No one in the outside world that they've run into has heard of Danganronpa, or if they have, they won't admit to it. It's certainly not something broadcast all over the world.
Instead, they're now having to deal with a world in which almost everyone considers their story too ridiculous to believe. Something clearly happened over the last three weeks, but talking, psychopathic teddy bears? Isn't that a bridge too far?

Summary
The 53rd class of New Hope’s Peak Academy visits Jabberwock Island with expectations of another normal and fun school trip. However, things become strange when they are sent a letter by the mysterious witch, Junko Enoshima, the message claiming that she will massacre the entire class unless they solve the riddle on her portrait. This so-called ‘prank’ turns into a horrifying reality, corpses of the students appearing in seemingly impossible ways. Can the survivors uncover the truth of the witch and survive the two days on Jabberwock Island?
While this is going on, Kaede Akamatsu debates with Junko on whether or not a witch really committed the murders.
