I didn't quite understand how Kate was able to become this undead werething and still have a smile on her face in the season finale.
Didn't Victoria kill herself (with a little help from Chris) because she was bitten and hunters have some creepy ass oath about never becoming one of the werethings?I think this calls for a fic where Gerard, (despite his own plans to beat death by forcing Derek to bite him, because, really, who in his family knows about that) feels it necessary to kill his own daughter for what she is. He doesn't feel bad about it, of course, because the guy is pretty psychotic. Chris and Isaac are there (maybe Kate came looking for her brother and Gerard had been tracking her). Chris tries to stop him, because that's his sister, no matter how horrible she may be. He's just seen enough death within the last year (namely his wife and daughter...and sort of Kate) that he can't handle it anymore. Gerard somehow overpowers/out wits Cris and Isaac both, kills Kate anyway (prefer electrocution since that seems to be the hunters' "thing," but I'd go for another way, too), then shifts his focus to Isaac. At this point, Chris is done with trying to reason. He isn't going to see Isaac killed, too.

In the last couple episodes of 3b, Lydia was a little bit better capable of controlling her banshee powers (where she could only find bodies before, she saw pretty clearly what was going to happen to Allison before it took place). I'd love to see her use these powers to figure out where Derek is and lead the group to him on a rescue mission.
Kira running Kate through with the katana that was used to kill the nogitsune would be pretty awesome, imo. -

The key phrase here is "canon-typical violence."
I don't see anything wrong with some blood and gore in a fic based on a show that depicted good old Aunt Kate (among others) standing over Allison's body and eating her guts. So, the bloodier, the better.
Kate and Gerard both. Maybe they get locked up together and end up hashing out some family issues, which results in them killing each other. -

Summary
Derek and Stiles team up and finally capture Kate. Stiles gets an idea about how to kill her. He doesn't tell Derek how it works, just tells him it's a spell/curse that works slowly but works in all cases. What he doesn't tell Derek is that while it works, it opens her mind to the perspective of the casters/dosers. They have to be present for it to work, but Stiles knows that this time, Derek won't go anywhere until she's definitely dead. After Derek witnesses everything, hears her revelations, Stiles confesses that he just wanted to be able to give Derek closure. Derek sees this as an act of love on Stiles' part; he's not wrong.

Kate has systematically killed almost everyone, which drives the remaining character/s, not normally predisposed to killing, to hunt her down and enact bloody (or clean and clever) vengeance. Not too worried who the remaining character is, but I'd love Stiles or the Sheriff. OR BOTH. Some father son bonding over a revenge killing sounds bloody marvelous. Angst is fine. Cos everyone's dead.

Method of death is up to the author, but I ♥ blood and violence. Angst (Chris: guilt over killing family/Derek: guilt over Chris doing that for him) is absolutely fine, but so is cold-blooded murder :D
