Benoit burrows his nose in Phillip's hair and inhales, then shifts his attention a bit lower, mouthing at the back of his neck. He gently cups his hand over the front of Phillip's pajama bottoms - not demanding. More like suggesting. Offering.
He simply holds him. And he waits.
“Darling.” A sigh.

Blanc stared at the journalist over the rim of his teacup.
“London. 1997."
“Yes, that one,” her eyes darted down to her notes. “It’s my understanding that early on in your career, you were brought in to consult with Scotland Yard about a local cat burglar. Nicknamed—”
“The Gentleman Thief,” Blanc finished with a slight shake of his head.
She leaned forward in her seat, quite literally on the edge of it.
“You caught him in the act once, right?"
“More tea?”
They both looked up to find Blanc’s husband, Phillip, refilling their cups and placing another plate of cookies on the coffee table.
