Earth-shattering gasps, almost completely in unison, fill the air.
"HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?!"
"YOU CAN'T! I MEAN, YOU CAN, BUT- BUT- WHY?!"
"Our best friend's leaving uuuuuuus," Kaminari wails, shaking Sero about but everyone immediately shuts up when the leader calls out a piercing, "Oi."
"Don't you morons wanna know why he's leaving?" Shinsou asks with a raised eyebrow, and instantly everyone is once again waiting with bated breath.
The leader says with all the gravitas of the most important thing he'll ever say in his entire life, "I'm going to be...a househusband."
Bakugou's finally got himself married to the love of his life, and he's realised that he has no need for a job like a Yakuza boss anymore. If all it means is danger and work that he doesn't even feel anything for anymore, then why should he do it? But that doesn't mean he wants any other job. No, all he really wants is to have his husband be able to come home to him.
But being a househusband is really no joke, and he learns that the hard way.

"What's my name again?"
"Kirishima Eijirou."
Eijirou nodded, sounding it out a few times. "Sounds good...uh, what about you, man?"
This was strange. He'd never had to introduce himself to Eijirou before. "Bakugou Katsuki."
"Oh nice! What are we, dude?"
Katsuki's mind went blank. What were they? Boyfriends, that was it, yeah, that was right. Though Katsuki wondered if amnesia Eijirou was homophobic, that'd be something. But he was really hesitating. He didn't know why at first until Eijirou lowered the blanket completely and Katsuki stared for a second, at his open curious face and messed up hair and questioning stance. No matter what state he was in, he always looked perfect to Katsuki.
"We're friends."
This was for the best.
"Just friends."
He'd been wanting to let Eijirou go for so long anyway, so what better way than if Eijirou didn't get hurt, at all?
Katsuki doesn't think he deserves Eijirou, and it kills him inside. Then one day Eijirou gets knocked out in an attack, and when he wakes up not knowing who Katsuki is, it's his chance to finally end this without it seeming like a break-up.

Kirishima smiles, swallowing before he murmurs, "That's a really tall order," and the king throws his arms out in glee.
"You're learning idioms! You got that from me, right? Do you see how I'm the only person ever?!"
"I didn't learn that from you."
The king looks so horrifically, disbelievingly offended that Kirishima wants to laugh so bad but he's shy, and he'll probably sound very horrible, so all that comes out is a low pleased rumble in his throat. And the king's jaw drops before he throws his arms into the air and falls dramatically back onto the ground.
"I found the coolest damn dragon who smiles like the moon and wants to learn from someone like me and apparently also PURRS. I'm fucking done."
Kirishima flushes a little, consumed by so much warmth that it almost hurts or maybe he's confusing pain with something else, and he reaches out to pat the king's arm except the king gnashes at him when he comes close. "Do not touch me, heathen."

i was immediately drawn to this fic because of the title, and when i found out it was another fic written from midoriya’s perspective i almost cried those are my favorites
