THIS FIC IS ACTIVELY BEING WORKED ON.
"Your Soul Will Live On" is a Deltarune fanfic with a simple premise.
"What would actually happen if a real person was trapped within Deltarune?" with all of the philosophical, ethical, and weird science-y questions that come with it.
The story itself is both an adaptation of Deltarune's stories, themes, characters, locations, and more, into a different medium, but also an examination of what it would be like if the SOUL, who is already its own character in the story of Deltarune, was truly a real, thinking person, with their own thoughts and feelings and decisions, independent from what can be done within the game.

Unable to help themself (as much as they tried to curb any growing dependence), Kris stuck their finger between the bars of the cage to skim the Soul’s exterior. They felt the Soul’s diffidence, as if it was internally wondering, Are they mad at me?
“That wasn’t nice, what you did to Noelle and Berdly today,” Kris said, assuming a voice like their mother giving a lecture. “I know we went back and redid it, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen, you know. That’s an hour in the cage, to think about what you’ve done.”
(Takes place after the events of Chapter 2, but Kris creating a Dark Fountain isn't acknowledged, since we don't know where that's going to go. Also, the Vessel will name themself Goner.)
