Summary
Baran observes everything unfolding in front of her as if it were happening in slow motion. Somewhere in the back of her head she thinks that she should really call a Lyft, should go home and rinse off the day, leave the remnants of it sticky in her shower drain.
She can't. She can’t bring herself to unstick her arm from the soft leather of her center console, eyes wide and unblinking as she watches Dana and McKay. She feels like an animal caught in bright headlights, rooted to the spot.

McEvans Week Day 6: inspired by a movie
So so late baby, but we ball because #McEvansweek is my entire life, actually, (when my entire life is not just work). This is honestly written mostly for Kau AKA mullhollandsdrive because they're the GOAT for putting this week together (which I missed entirely).
Cassie drives Dana home - then not. Dana opens a manila envelope that ruins her life - then not.
This is inspired by the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, AKA the movie that ruined me for other movies, AKA the thing that can make me cry so fast it's embarrassing, AKA a movie about erasing memory. If you haven't seen it, this may be gobbledygook. Or maybe a fun time! Only you can tell me that.

McEvans Week: Day Six - Jealousy
After the Pittfest shooting, Dana decides to take a sabbatical in Vietnam without telling many people. Crucially, one person she neglects to mention her leave to is Cassie - the woman she has been seeing in secret. Dana leaves feeling totally changed by her assault, going no contact with Cassie the whole time she is gone.
Now, after being gone for nearly 5 months, Dana is back. When she finds out that Cassie has tried to move on with someone else, she realizes that the world wasn't sitting in stasis waiting for her to heal. Meanwhile, Cassie realizes that if she thought moving on from Dana was hard while she was gone, it's going to be nearly impossible now that she's back.

Summary
“You—” Dana starts, but a huff from beside her makes her pause. She looks to her left, meeting bright blue eyes, dulled by the glare McKay is pinning her with. She pinches the bridge of her nose, trying again with, “You don’t have a cot or anything?”
A shrug. “Nope. Loveseat in the corner.”
Her shoulders sag. “Okay,” she cedes, “sure. We’ll take it.”
(mckay and dana, mid-feud, are stranded in a motel with wet clothes and one bed. what ever will they do??? offering for mcevans week day 5: jealousy and 6: forced proximity)
