Summary

And sure, Steve had never paid much attention to Eddie in school, but he can’t recall ever seeing him interact with any girls on a romantic level. Chalk it up to Eddie’s reputation - his freakiness, his propensity for repeating senior year, his nerdy dragon club. Not really things that most girls are looking for. But now, here, there’s no reputation, no preconceived notions. He’s just Eddie. Eddie with the thousand-watt smile, Eddie with the long brown hair and the biggest, darkest eyes. Eddie who talks not only with his hands but with his whole body, who imbues so much energy into whatever space he occupies. It makes total sense, here and now, that he’s getting so much attention. He’s magnetic, and even Steve is having trouble looking away.

He’s still learning all the new things about how he wants Eddie to touch him—the way he craves Eddie’s weight on top of him, Eddie’s arm over his shoulders, Eddie holding him still. Steve thinks of all the girls he’s done the same things to. How he’d lean over them and whisper in their ears, use his size to make them small against him, grin when they’d blush and giggle.
Steve wants Eddie to do those kinds of things to him. He wants it with a burning, confusing need.
So when, one night, when Steve’s already dizzy and touch-warm against Eddie’s mouth, when Eddie’s hand snakes down Steve’s side to cup the curve of Steve’s ass, when Eddie asks, a little winded, “Wanna try something else?”
Or, Steve has a crisis, but it's not the gay kind.

Summary
The last time Eddie almost died, he laid on the ground and realized he was dying a twenty year old, never-been-kissed virgin, had no high school diploma and never amounted to anything in his life unless shredding Master of Puppets in hell counts.
As he faces the end of the world again, he tells Steve that the only thing that's changed in the last year is that he's twenty-one now.
While Steve can't help Eddie with the diploma, or the part about amounting to anything, he does offer to fix those other things.
