My interpretation of Whumptober 2024, Day 8: Sleep deprivation + forced to stay awake
Marc still waits for him after all this time. In the end, he is his soulmate. Even if he ignored him all the years, even if he insulted him in front of the whole world, even if he said again and again how much he hates Marc.
And then Marc crashes again. But this time, everything is different. All begins with an answer. The first answer from his soulmate in all those years.

One day, Valentino is complaining about his back, a hand on his hip, rubbing slow circles into the aching muscle.
Marc glances over from where he's perched on the couch sideways, legs swinging over the arm and says, flippantly,
"it's because you have horrible posture. You need to stand up straight."
Valentino side eyes him, unimpressed.
"Seeing as how this is mostly your fault, I don't think you should be talking."
Marc jerks sharply, an affronted scowl on his face.
"Me?!"
