Summary
Clint Barton snapped awake and absolutely did not panic.
On his chest, the warm, heavy weight that had woken him shifted again. Carefully, he risked cracking open an eye, and came nose-to-snout with a dragon.
Clint Barton would be the first to admit that mornings were never his best time of day. Generally, they sucked. Only, he'd never actually ever had a morning like this before.
(Or, the one in which Phil Coulson is magically turned into a dragon, and the trouble that follows.)

Summary
Post-movie fix-it. Phil needs someone to stay in his apartment with him before the doctors will sign the forms to release him from SHIELD medical.
Clint doesn't know why he's helping or why it's so important to him because he's fine, everything is just fine. Phil doesn't need Clint's help because he's fine, everything is just fine.
Except for when it isn't and it turns out they both need more than they're willing to admit to.

Bookmarker's Notes
I like the way Phil’s recovery-related annoyance is done; the conversation about dreams works well (conveys emotion well and emotions are pitched at a good level).

Summary
Agent Phil Coulson has always been entirely honest with his parents about his work. He hasn’t necessarily gone into detail, but they know enough. The one thing he will wax poetic about is his asset Clint Barton, the sniper known as Hawkeye. When a mission gone wrong affords Clint a look into the mysterious hidden life of his favorite handler, Mama Coulson gets a look of her own at the man who's so obviously captured her son's heart.
She for one couldn’t be happier - but these two boys need all the help they can get.
After all, Mama Coulson knows best.

It’s not uncommon for SHIELD agents to spend the holidays on assignment. In Strike Team Delta’s experience, this can mean anything from severe snowstorms disrupting their extraction plans, to attending lavish Christmas Eve parties undercover, and everything in between.
