Summary
With a deep sigh, Peter unlocks his car, tucks his briefcase under his seat, and then just breathes for a few long moments, head tipped back, and eyes closed. He’s had a throbbing headache behind his right eye ever since Cora’s crying fit over breakfast, alpha healing completely useless against it, and had to schedule a last-minute appointment for his lunch break, meaning the last and only thing he’s eaten today was the piece of buttered toast Derek had refused.
He’s been running on coffee and sheer stubbornness for the past six months, and he doesn’t see it changing any time soon.
Or; Peter is put in charge of his nieces and nephew after his sister's untimely death, and, although he's loath to admit it, he's not handling it well. And he definitely doesn't have time for a crush.

Summary
After a quick detour through the kitchen for a bottle of water, Derek throws himself back into the fray of the party. He makes the rounds saying hi to the people he knows, helps a guy off the bathroom floor and into a cab, dances, sneaks some of the leftover pie from the fridge, and keeps an eye out for Dex all the while.
Things between the two of them have been better lately, and Derek has a vague plan of bugging Dex into going out for post-kegster ice cream. It has become a tradition of sorts since the start of the semester, to go out together on Saturday nights. Nothing fancy or too outrageous, just to share some fries or grab some hot chocolates, but Derek’s come to treasure those few hours every week.
Or, alternatively; how a couple of lewdly-shaped party accessories help Derek find the courage to go and get his man.

Summary
“Welcome to the Beacon Blossom!” the saleswoman behind the counter chirps happily, and Peter watches, a little dazed, as the blinking plastic hearts attached to her headband bounce back and forth. “What can I do for you on this fine day?”
Peter deposits the bouquet of red roses on the counter, and nearly drops his wallet when the woman coos—actually coos—and says, nodding her head, “A classic. Your wife will absolutely love them, I guarantee it.” She swipes Peter’s card when he hands it to her, then points it at a basket stuffed full with some of the most garishly pink teddy bears Peter’s ever had the misfortune of seeing. “Now, since today’s a special day, if you buy a bouquet and one of our Sweetheart Bears, the cheaper item is 50% off.”
It takes some effort, but Peter manages to bite back his initial, sarcastic retort about the bear clashing with his furniture. Or anything else not absolutely, horrifyingly hideous, for that matter. “Just the roses, please.”

Summary
Stiles had, admittedly, been pretty excited to find out that firebirds exist, although the circumstances could definitely have been better. Like, he would’ve preferred the firebird to not land half on his head, while he was sleeping, and then screech him awake while bleeding all over his sheets.
