“I’m in the middle of training,” Liu Qingge says in a clipped tone.
“That’s all right,” Shen Qingqiu says, flicking his fan in the air. “Go train, I’ll wait.”
Liu Qingge stares at him. “Wait?”
“Until you’re done, of course,” Shen Qingqiu says, as if it’s the most obvious thing. “I’ll find us some tea.”
Liu Qingge could have told Shen Qingqiu that his training would last all day. He could have informed him, brusquely, without care, that he dislikes having his rituals interrupted, that Shen Qingqiu would be waiting for the sun to cease its rise and fall, the mountains around them to crumble and fade.
Instead, he lets out a rush of air through his nose. “Fine. I will join you when I’m done.”
Shen Qingqiu’s face lights up, soft and pleased.
In which Liu Qingge's rituals are interrupted by Shen Qingqiu, and he learns that he doesn't mind that one bit. -

Shen Qingqiu manages to change his foretold fate by saving Liu Qingge in the Ling Xi caves. Unfortunately, the cultivation world is a lot less happy about this than Shen Qingqiu would have hoped.
This might have to do with the fact that the Liu Qingge who Shen Qingqiu saved is not quite human.

Summary
There was a time when Liu Qingge would have relished each opportunity for battle, leaving the mountain sect for weeks on end in search of worthy opponents against which to test his skills. He still enjoys the fight and the challenge, the thrill of cutting down strong enemies and prey, but there are things now which make him reluctant to be away for longer than necessary, and eager to return.

Summary
Mere weeks after the Demon Invasion incident, Liu Qingge visits Qing Jing Peak to discover the disciples hard at work building a monstrosity of blankets and bamboo. Like the students, he becomes inexplicably drawn into Shen Qingqiu's orbit in spite of himself.
Or: How Shen Yuan causes chaos under the flimsy guise of education and Liu Qingge heroically tries to keep himself oblivious to the state of his own squishy heart.
