After picking up Shen Wei at a bar and taking him home, Zhao Yunlan makes him an offer requiring little involvement on his part. The two hit it off, but things don't go quite as planned for Zhao Yunlan when the budding friendship between Shen Wei and his cat Da Qing begins to stir feelings in him for the man.

As Zhao Yunlan relishes the recent turn his relationship with Shen Wei has taken, a mysterious death at school—the discovery of a female student turned into a statue—as well as the vanishings of various students on campus appear to be linked with the old science building, which is rumored to be a nest for ghosts or evil spirits. While Shen Wei looks for clues on campus, Zhao Yunlan and his SID handle a series of perfect burglaries, but both cases seem to point in the same direction, and as the group gets closer to the truth, Zhao Yunlan ends up on the wrong side of the investigation.
What will become of Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan's blooming relationship, and will Shen Wei's true identity be revealed at last?
