Summary
Hopkit, like most WindClan kits, loves to run.
—
All WindClan cats race.
They race from the nursery to the hunting stones, from the hunting stones to Tallrock, from Tallrock to the hunting grounds, from the hunting grounds to camp.
The life of a WindClan warrior can be neatly summarized as a series of races.
Hopkit is no exception. He races with his littermates, competing with them for the best pieces of prey. Palebird’s litter follows them, on legs still too short to run properly, but determined to try.

Deadfoot, angry that ThunderClan has given up on her so soon, decides to help Cinderpaw become a warrior.
—
“I mean,” Ashfoot says, “we’re not exactly a model of injuries.”
“We have as many Clanmates as I have claws,” he says. “That doesn’t leave many chances for injuries.”
She huffs. “You’re being difficult. The facts are what they are: Cinderpaw is in ThunderClan, and they’ve given up on her. You haven’t, but you’re in WindClan.”
“We can help her. Doesn’t she deserve a chance?”

Summary
The fire casts a shadow across Breezepelt's face. His eyes smolder, and Heathertail has to pry her gaze away from him. As she stares past the fire, she wonders which one she is: the moth, or the flame.
