"Gavin woke up by himself for the first time in years. This day was going to be hard without Conan by his side. Gavin rubbed away the sleep from his eyes. Though Conan was long gone by now, there was still the traces of his warmth on the right side of the bed. Sun cracked through the blinds shining blocks of light across the bed as Gavin rolled over to Conan’s side of the bed and tried to imagine that he was there, still sleeping and snoring softly."
