Bucky sighed and rubbed a hand over his face. “We can’t just force awful gender stereotypes on our unborn child. It’s ridiculous.”
But when Steve looked up at Bucky with the most tragic case of puppy dog eyes the world has ever seen, there was absolutely no way Bucky could say no.

Bucky has a problem. A problem that manifested itself in the form of a tall, blond, incredibly pretty guy who works at the bookstore down the street from Bucky’s apartment.
Bucky was dialing Sam and Natasha’s numbers before he even closed his front door, calling for an Emergency Girls’ Night In™. Nat didn’t even ask any questions, saying she would get the pizza and snacks before abruptly hanging up. Sam grumbled a bit, but even he knew that these nights were sacred and not to be ignored under any circumstances.

Bucky hesitated. “Yes, but I thought I wasn’t allowed in your kitchen anymore after the Great Potato Incident of 2017.”
“By help, I mean sit on the counter and keep me company without getting anywhere near the oven,” Steve said.

Bucky was unbelievably bored. Literally no one had came into his bookstore all day. It was 3 p.m.
Resting his chin on his hand, Bucky absently spun his chair in half circles, staring at the wood grain in his desk. Huh, he had never noticed that the grain looked like a cat before. Cute.
The bell above the door jingled and Bucky startled, looking up.
In the doorway stood a guy that made Bucky believe in love at first sight. Is that cheesy, he wondered? Definitely. Does he care? Not really.
