That was something worth picturing. Something that he had definitely already pictured many, many times before. He had even mentally constructed an entire series of erotic stories involving Mac, Charlie, and himself. 'But to experience the reality?' Dennis hummed. Mac threw his hands up. “He gave you those ‘big eyes’, Charlie , ‘cause you told him that you were a rape victim!”“Well!” Charlie felt his gut turn. He need to fire back with something. “You told him you were gay! ”
Mac immediately calmed and raised his eyebrows. “Okay, that’s different. My identity is not obvious and he needed to know.” Charlie huffed at that. “Being a rape victim is not an identity.”
“Oh, yeah? Yeah? ” Charlie dug around in his head, desperate for some kind of backing from somewhere . An image flashed in his mind and he caught it before it could vanish. “Then how come on TV it’ll always show the person’s name and then right after it’ll say ‘RAPE VICTIM’ in giant letters?”

His fingers were steepled together. “Yeah, nobody has VCRs anymore!” He threw his hands up with an incredulous look. “And here I thought we were living in the space age of technology!” He waved his hand out. “We got this, though.”
Charlie repeated, seated in the chair next to him. “Yeah, we got this covered.” He grinned and gestured for the woman to use the remote to start the video.

It was only about… three in the afternoon on a Tuesday in Philly when Charlie started banging on Mac’s door, pounding hard enough that the metal apartment numbers shook on their screws. His composure faltered with how quickly Mac opened up and yanked him in like he just got sucked into the vacuum of space.Mac held him by the collar of his green twill jacket and kissed him soft and slow, a heat filling his stomach. He pulled back an inch and spoke into the other man’s lips. “I love you.”
“I love you, too,” Charlie answered with a grin before meeting him in another kiss, comforted by the scratch of his beard and the taste of his tongue.
“I love that we say that now.”
