Summary
The first of a series of vignettes I'm writing about side characters from each of the films. This one focuses on the unnamed "alien ensign" we meet on the bridge of the Enterprise and his thoughts surrounding the news that his captain is being replaced by...Captain Kirk?? During my latest movie marathon, this dude jumped out at me, and so I figured I'd dig into some angst, because why not? It's unapologetic fluff, but it's keeping me from writing other stuff, so it's doing its job well.

Captain Terrell is a good guy, and so when he finds himself being used as a weapon, he has only his own strength to save himself. This is the second part of my Enterprise Asides series, which focuses on side characters in each of the films. Terrell has a bit more impact on the film than my other characters, but I felt like he deserved a place in this series as he's so interesting.

Summary
Part three of my series of vignettes on side characters throughout the Trek films. I've always liked the strange alien Bones meets in the bar. Now we get a chance to get inside his head during his conversation with a somewhat crazed McCoy. Plus, I always liked the idea that money definitely does exist in the 23rd century, even though everyone insists it doesn't.

Part 4 of my vignettes about side characters from the Trek films. This one follows the cute old lady Bones meets in the hospital. She's just so sweet and adorable, she needed her own little moment. I don't know her name, and I couldn't find it in the novels, so I made one up for her. So anyway, here's some cute fluff about a sweet little old lady getting a chance to feel better.

Summary
Part five of my series looking at side characters in the Trek films. At the end of The Final Frontier, St. John Talbot has his arm around Caithlin Dar, and I always wondered what was going on between them. Both characters are amazing, and I was always sad we didn't get more of them. Literally the only reason to watch Star Trek V is for the adorable Spirk stuff, Bones, and the three diplomats. So enjoy some FLUFF-heavy flirting and banter as I realize that David Warner has this whole charming handsome rogue thing going on that I like and literally never noticed before. Also, Caithlin Dar is so pretty and awesome, and I want a novel featuring these two! *glares at Trek writers*

Part Six of my series of vignettes focusing on side characters in the Trek films. For the Undiscovered Country, I went with the Federation President (because Kurtwood Smith!) because he seemed to have a lot going on that he didn't say or reveal through his actions. The scenes with him are so interesting because he's surrounded by people who are slipping into warmonger territory, and he seems to be the only one (aside from Sarek) who either doesn't want war, or doesn't have an ulterior motive. Plus, we don't get a ton of info on how the Federation government works. I got his name from the expanded universe novels.

Summary
Part Seven of my series on side characters in the Trek films. This one was incredibly difficult to write since there really are no side characters except in the prologue (which happens to be my favourite part of the movie). I decided to focus on Demora Sulu because I love her. We get a lot more about her from the books, so I looked at her before and after the events at the beginning of Generations. She feels like she's still figuring herself out, even if she's a totally competent officer. She's still figuring out how she fits into the legacy of her father and of Kirk. I'm not entirely happy with the result, but it's better than nothing, and perhaps I'll expand this out in the future. I wasn't sure if I would continue this past the Kirk era, but I'm enjoying it, so I shall continue on through TNG and then to the AOS trilogy.

Summary
Part 8 of my series on side characters from the Trek films. This one focuses on the unnamed helmsman from the Defiant (played in the film by Adam Scott). I wanted a TON more of this character, but since this is just a vignette, I restrained myself, focusing on the Battle of Sector 001 from his point of view. I couldn't find any sources for his name, so I made one up, mashing together Jack London and Joseph Conrad, because he strikes me as a fatalistic naturalist with an eye for iconoclasty. We also get Worf and Beverly! And they're always fun.

Apologies in advance. This is Part Nine of my series of vignettes focusing on side characters from the Trek films. And since Insurrection literally has no interesting side characters, I decided to focus on the little fuzzy pet that Artim carries throughout the film. It's really dumb and I get it if you never read this. I'm sorry.

Summary
Part ten in my series of vignettes looking at side characters from the Trek films. This one looks at Donatra. She's probably a bit too "main character" to be considered an actual side character, but she's awesome and I love her. I wish she'd had more to do in the film. I am also super upset what happens to her in the novels, so I wanted some more time to show her at her prime, being incredible and progressive and stuff.
